Hey guys, just confirming for you that I am indeed still alive. Not that I actually think any of you considered me dead, and now that I think about it, I'm referring to the life of this blog, or the idea of it, more than anything. I'm working on something better for you; less unnecessarily personal, more thematic, more photo-journalistic, and hopefully more inspiring for us both. I've been too stressed about letting April be the last time I breathed on this site though, so I guess I'm back here to breathe a couple of breaths.
Today I sloppily explained to my grandpa--who got his PHD from SU in Computer Science and graduated from their very first computer-oriented program, what a blog is. I felt justifiably dumb, but I used my own blog as an example for explanatory purposes and before I knew it he was handing me his newspaper to write down the name of it (which led to a rabbit trail of instructions for how to use the internet in general). In the least offensive way possible, I'm guessing you and grandma didn't make it on here tonight, Grandpa, but I love talking with you about the way the world worked in your prime and how it works now. Let's keep it coming.
These photos are from our recent jaunt to Maine, which was salty and beautiful. I ate dessert after breakfast, made coffee in the woods, and thoroughly enjoyed beating my husband in cards because i. just. can't. beat. him. at. anything. else. Maine reminded me of the beauty contained in this world, and the beauty contained in getting out of town for a week and for that I am endlessly thankful.
We've been busy celebrating every possible birthday and parent-oriented national holiday ever, as well as consuming too many turkey burgers as is probably healthy. My list for things I want out of my life at 23 feels pretty long and certain, yet reality is not. Let's learn one solid gem of wisdom in light of this this summer. We must. Oh yeah, and if anyone is looking for/knows of opportunities for internships regarding graphic design, prop and/or food styling, coffee roasting, photography, or anything generally involving art direction, please be in touch!
Until next time I show up to breathe here and share unrelated information..
Be on the lookout for the upcoming transformation of P+P, as well as updates on the Bob Project, which I plan to regularly update throughout the summer.
Be well, friends.
